Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all agreements between Raderen Digitaal and you as the client — from the first quote through to the maintenance of your website after delivery.

If something deviates from these terms, we agree it together and record it in the quote or the order confirmation. What is stated there then takes precedence over these terms.

A quote is without obligation and remains valid for as long as the stated period runs. If no period is stated, the quote is valid for 30 days.

The agreement is formed at the moment you accept the quote in writing or by email. From that point we begin the work we have agreed together.

We build and maintain websites for entrepreneurs. The exact scope, the number of pages and the work involved are set out in the quote.

We carry out the assignment to the best of our insight and ability, in accordance with the standards of good craftsmanship. We make every effort, but we cannot guarantee specific business results — such as a particular number of visitors or a particular Google ranking.

To build your website we need information from you: your story, text and images, and your approval of the interim designs.

If you supply something late or not at all, the schedule may shift. We will then discuss together how to resolve it. We may charge for the extra time this costs us, but we will tell you in advance.

You warrant that the material you supply — text, photos, logos — is yours, or that you have permission to use it. If not, you are yourself liable for any damage or debts arising from the use of that material.

We aim to deliver your website within 3 to 14 working days of the start. That period depends heavily on how quickly we receive the text and images.

Any stated periods are always indicative. Exceeding a period does not automatically entitle you to compensation or to dissolution of the agreement.

We work with a fixed price, as stated in the quote. All stated prices exclude VAT. There are no costs you do not know about in advance, unless you yourself request additional work — in which case we agree it together first.

In addition to the one-off build price, there is a monthly fee for hosting, maintenance and updates. That fee can be cancelled monthly and is stated in the quote.

You pay invoices within 14 days of the invoice date. If you do not pay on time, we may suspend the work temporarily and charge statutory interest.

All material that we create and manage for you — the website itself, the domain name, the hosting and the associated technical facilities — is owned by and registered in the name of Raderen Digitaal. We handle the entire technical management.

This is a deliberate choice, not small print. Because we are the owner and manager, unpaid invoices remain a matter between you and us — and not something that gets us into difficulties with suppliers to whom we are committed on your behalf. That is how we keep our prices low and the service affordable for everyone.

What that means for you: the material you supply yourself remains your property, and you may always continue to use the text and images on your website. What you pay for is the build, the management and the maintenance — not ownership of the technical whole.

The monthly fee covers hosting, maintenance, updates and security. If you cancel, we will dismantle your website and you can take the content with you. We help you transfer that content and your domain name, so you are not left empty-handed.

If, after the start, you want to add or change something that was not in the quote, we first discuss what it involves and what it costs. We only carry it out once you agree to it.

Minor adjustments after delivery are covered by the monthly fee. For larger changes you receive a separate quote in advance.

We carry out our work as carefully as possible. Even so, something may occasionally go wrong. Our liability is limited to the amount we have invoiced for the assignment in question.

We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost revenue or missed assignments. Nor for damage arising because material you supplied turns out not to be yours, or because you do not follow our advice.

In addition, we are not liable for damage caused by factors beyond our control: the loss of data through a fault or server problem, a hack or other intrusion from outside, or large-scale internet outages. We take reasonable measures to prevent this — with backups, security and updates — but we cannot rule out or guarantee against events of this kind.

The monthly fee can be cancelled monthly, subject to a notice period of one month. There are no long contracts and no cancellation fees.

If you want to stop during the build, we settle the work carried out up to that point which we can no longer use in any other way.

Not satisfied with something? Let us know. We would rather resolve it together than leave you with a complaint.

You can send your complaint to contact@raderen.nl. We respond within one working day and look for a solution together.

Dutch law applies to all agreements between you and Raderen Digitaal. We submit disputes to the competent Dutch court.

We may amend these terms if our way of working changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated.

For ongoing agreements, the terms apply as they were at the moment we entered into the assignment, unless we agree otherwise together.
